|Eight Years of Leapfrog Growth • Intelligent Manufacturing for the Future
Xinhua Finance conducted an exclusive in-depth interview with Suptech Technology. From technological breakthroughs to intelligent manufacturing upgrades, from green circular systems to global layout, this national-level “Little Giant” enterprise specializing in sophisticated, unique, innovative, and new technologies is redefining standards in the new materials industry with a brand-new posture.
During the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, Zhang Zhenhao, Deputy Marketing Director of Suptech Technology, was invited to the Xinhua Finance Salon for an exclusive interview. He focused on innovation in automotive new materials and shared the company’s practical achievements and development strategies in R&D of polymer composites, green and low-carbon solutions, and global market layout.
What Can Eight Years Change?
💡Highlights of This Issue
✅ Eight years to become a “Little Giant”: Suptech Technology’s four core competencies
✅ How Level 4 smart factories set a new benchmark for intelligent manufacturing
✅ Green closed-loop: cross-sector collaboration from waste recycling to new automotive materials
01 // The Rapidly Growing “Suptech Solution”
Technology-Driven: Building High Barriers
The company operates a four-in-one R&D system: material development, process development, simulation, and application analysis. It is supported by innovation platforms including a Doctoral Workstation, Guangdong Engineering Plastics Engineering Technology Research Center, and CNAS-accredited laboratory.
Among only six A+‑rated materials schools nationwide, Suptech Technology has established deep cooperation with three to jointly build an AI+Materials R&D platform, driving closed-loop R&D of “data–algorithm–experiment”.
To date, the company has applied for 65 patents and led the formulation of more than 20 national and industrial standards.
Industrial Integration: Connecting Upstream and Downstream
- Wholly acquired the PP composite and TPE business of Sumitomo Chemical (Japan) in China
- Established joint ventures for PCR (post-consumer recycled) material recycling
- Obtained a controlling stake in Yueke Automation, an intelligent manufacturing firm
These moves rapidly expanded production capacity, accumulated advanced technologies, and maintained leading intelligent manufacturing capabilities.
Intelligent Manufacturing Empowerment: Pursuing Efficiency Through Digitalization
Customer Alignment: Focusing on Cutting-Edge Demand

02 // Level 4 Smart Factory Launched: Upgrading from “Manufacturing” to “Intelligent Manufacturing”
National Production Capacity Layout
- 5 production bases currently in operation
- Annual capacity: 300,000 tons
- Long-term plan: expand to 500,000 tons (East China base)

▼
03 // Pioneer in Dual Carbon Goals: Substantial Breakthroughs in Green Materials and Closed-Loop Circulation
- Jointly established Chongqing Suptech with Chongqing Zhongtian, a leading home appliance recycling enterprise, to create a benchmark “home appliance-to-home appliance” closed-loop project
- Built a full closed-loop system: waste plastic recycling → dismantling → washing → pelletizing → modified application
- Focused on mechanical recycling while developing technical reserves for dissolution and chemical recycling
- Adopted LCA (life cycle assessment) to provide customers with carbon footprint calculation services
Four Green Solutions for Automakers
Low-carbon material substitution: materials for bumpers, grilles, brackets, and other components with 10%–50% PCR content
Lightweighting: plastic‑for‑steel, olefinization, and bio-based materials to reduce vehicle weight and carbon emissions
Full-life-cycle carbon management: support OEMs in meeting green access requirements of the EU, Japan, and other international markets
Traceable green supply chain: full-process data sharing from recycling to application to support OEM ESG reporting and carbon trading preparation
